Getting started with Mandaboard
Install Mandaboard, take a tour of the three rooms, and write your first card, win and thought record.
Last updated October 19, 2026
Mandaboard is a native Mac app with three connected rooms. This guide gets you from a fresh install to your first card, win and thought record in a few minutes.
Install
Mandaboard runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Download it from the Mac App Store, open it, and you're ready — there is no account to create.
Meet the three rooms
Use the sidebar to move between sections, or press the number keys below.
- Board (
⌘1) — a vision board: one board for all your lifetime goals, arranged in lanes, one lane per area of your life. - Mandala (
⌘2) — your Mandala, built from all those goals at once. Goals you complete settle into it, set in place. - Wins (
⌘3) — a box of kindness for the evidence you're doing better than it feels. - Thought Log (
⌘4) — thought records for the days a thought won't let go. - Completed (
⌘5) and Archive (⌘6) — where finished and retired cards live.
Your first card
- Open Board.
- Click + in an area (or press
⌘N) to add a card. - Give it a title, a note, and optionally an image and a date.
Your first win
Open Wins, press ⌘N, and type something kind, however small. It joins your
Need Love deck straight away.
Your first thought record
Open Thought Log, press ⌘N, and fill in what happened and what went through
your mind. You can stop there, or open Advanced for emotions, distortions
and a balanced thought. See Working with thought
records for the full walkthrough.
